SENsory Movers
Dance classes for children with diagnosed or suspected special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Cirencester, Gloucestershire
We believe dance should be for everyone. That’s why we’re proud to offer inclusive classes designed especially for children with diagnosed or suspected additional needs or special educational needs (SEN).
Dance brings so many benefits—joy, confidence, friendship, focus, balance, and fitness. We are proud to provide a welcoming, creative and supportive space where every dancer can thrive.
Our SENsory Movers sessions provide two class options:
SENsory Movers 1
10:35 – 11:05am
Recommended for ages 6+
This class is for children who can participate without their parent or carer and require minimal support in class.
We introduce short dance routines and exercises to help with coordination, rhythm, and confidence, while also including time for sensory play and exploration. The class follows more structure than our SENsory Movers 2 class with a focus on developing independence and movement skills.
SENsory Movers 2
11:15 – 11:45am
Recommended for ages 3+
This is a gentler-paced class for children who require more support and participate with a parent or carer.
We focus on musicality, movement, and fun through well-loved songs, travelling activities, and a wide variety of props. It’s a joyful space for children to explore dance in a way that’s engaging, accessible, and developmentally appropriate.
Our Team
Our team has a wide range of experience working with children with a range of needs, including autism, Down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy, SEMH needs —both in dance settings and educational environments. We adapt our approach to suit each child and work closely with families to make sure every dancer feels safe, included, and valued.
We’d love to dance with you!
We understand that every child is unique, and we’re here to support your child’s journey through dance—at their pace, in their own way.

“The class is something the boys really look forward to each week. They love to do things together but our eldest son gets really overwhelmed in usual group environments so it’s not usually accessible to us. This class is really welcoming, inclusive and fun. The ladies that run the group are fantastic and really make the kids feel engaged and welcome. Our son says he feels ‘calm’ when he is there. ”
